MISS SAIGON

Renee Montemayor was involved in the West End production of the musical MISS SAIGON for a total of 4 years.  During that time she played practically all the female roles in the show including understudying and playing both Gigi and the lead role Kim.

DANGEROUS CORNER

HEY, MR PRODUCER!

Renee was asked to participate in producer Cameron Mackintosh's special Royal Gala Concert for the Queen HEY, MR PRODUCER! at the newly opened Lyceum Theatre, London. Renee was involved as a performer in numerous musical numbers for shows such as CATS, CAROUSEL, LES MISERABLES, GODSPELL, COMPANY and MISS SAIGON.

SOUTH PACIFIC

Renee Montemayor played ensign Carla Velasquez in Sir Trevor Nunn's adaptation of SOUTH PACIFIC at London's prestigious The Royal National Theatre. Choreographed by Matthew Bourne. She also understudied the part of Liat. Below are photos from this production as well as a few backstage pictures, and some from the recording of the original cast album at Abbey Road Studios.

DOUBT

THE KING AND I

Renee played a Royal Wife in producer Raymond Gubbay's THE KING AND I at the Royal Albert Hall.  Directed by Jeremy Sams, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was conducted by Gareth Valentine. Daniel Dae Kim (from American TV series 'Lost') played the King opposite West End diva Maria Friedman's Mrs. Anna. A huge and spectacular production played in the round.
